Elsewhere (with Matteo Norzi)
The idea of the project is to create one piece able to be site-specific wherever gets installed. A telescope is embodied inside a block of modelling clay, so that is immobilized in one position, related with a single point of view. The same material is used to create a moulded object that deals, as a copy or as one other type of connection, with something that is very far way. The oil-based plasticine never dries up, leaving the project open and the sculpture flexible to be modelled again and again in any other location. Installing the piece in group show, in an art fair, or wherever would remark the chameleon-like characteristics of the work: trying to find every time its new shape, to lead viewers towards a broader reflection on art, distance, accessibility and trespassing.
