I Dormienti
The project I Dormienti is a public art project that sees the creation of a series of site-specific works in places with strong historical and cultural connotations. Faces of characters from ancient mythologies and pagan mythologies, reduced to fragments, are placed in the recesses of external and internal walls where the gap between the stones becomes a metaphor for a cultural void that finds in the faces a possibility of redeeming the past, and reactivating history. In a perspective game, the sculptures, camouflaged by colours and composition, call to look at the work closely but bring the distant gaze to a transnational memory and to cults and beliefs that surpass religions, frontiers and ideologies.
