Il Tavolo degli Avanzi
The performance is developed as a banquet to which ten to twenty artists are invited to experiment with the flavours and colours of the city markets leftovers by leaving traces, signs and drawings on unpainted ceramic and porcelain plates created for the performance. The plates once transformed by the guests will be collected and exhibited, together with a video illustrating the performance, in the Museum or institution that host the performance.
The project Il Tavolo degli Avanzi aims to open a reflection on contemporary consumerism and environmental issues related to the overproduction of intensive agriculture. At the same time, it also has the purpose of reinvigorating old traditions and objects, which could trigger a virtuous process of material and cultural recycling.
